In The Lab Product Management: Cooking Lifestyle No-Code App
Intro
I led the initiative to develop XAY Chef, a Cooking Lifestyle app, using a no-code solution through Glide with the objective of creating a more personalized and engaging experience for home cooks. As a Product Manager, my primary responsibility was to gain an in-depth understanding of the needs and requirements of end-users. This involved conducting extensive user research to develop a deep understanding of user needs, pain points, and expectations, with the goal of simplifying meal planning, improving user engagement, and fostering a community around home cooking.
Problem
Home cooks today are overwhelmed by the extensive amount of content available online—recipes, videos, and subscriptions—that don't cater to individual preferences. They struggle to find recipes that align with their dietary needs and tastes, experience inconvenience when planning grocery lists, and lack a supportive, interactive food community. XAY Chef addresses these challenges by providing a tailored, user-friendly experience that simplifies meal planning, enables personalized recipe searches, and creates a space for home cooks to connect, share, and inspire one another.

Project Highlight
In this project, I took the lead in conceptualizing the app's features, conducting user research, and overseeing development through the Glide platform. I ensured that the app provided personalized recipe recommendations based on user preferences, incorporated diet specifications, and allowed users to easily share grocery lists. I also facilitated the creation of an interactive community where users could share and rate recipes. My contributions involved working cross-functionally to gather user feedback, validate the solution with stakeholders, and optimize the app’s functionalities for a seamless user experience. Through strategic planning and feature prioritization, I enabled the successful launch of a user-centric platform that fosters an engaging and collaborative cooking environment.
